In 1841, Anton Dreher introduced the first light-colored lager the world had ever seen at his Klein-Schwechat Brewery in Vienna. It wasn’t quite as pale as Pilsner, which debuted a year later, but it created an immediate sensation.
Our Vienna lager is brewed robustly, to honor this important lineage. Barke Vienna malt creates a toasty, nutty palate. Slightly harder water allows this full beer to finished with a crisp, smooth finish.
